Engage your mind each day

Updated: Jul 28, 2019

Studies say engaging your brain will help your cognitive memory. But what if you disengaged as well. Just an hour or 5 minutes. Meditation has so many benefits including focus, reducing stress and teaching you how to connect with yourself. Meditation gives you the tools to take on the world. Well, maybe not the world but it could help you on your morning commute! Most people (including me) say "I don't know how to meditate," "I don't have time," "I can't sit still that long." Meditation can be a short as 5 minutes. We all have 5 minutes. Sit comfortably, close your eyes, inhale for 5-6 counts, exhale for 5-6 counts. Try to make your breath a little longer each inhale/exhale. There you did it! How does it feel?

If you need a little more help getting grounded, one of my favorite essential oils is Balance. This oil combines Frankincense, Blue Tansy, Ho Wood, Blue Chamomile and Osmathsus Flower in a base of Fractionated Coconut Oil. Place a drop on the bottom of your foot, along your spine or at the center of your forehead. Need more essential oil ideas on calming? I am at your disposal. Contact me for your 1:1 consultation.
